The hotel is a suite type setup. Each suite has a living room, kitchen area, and a bedroom. It also is equipped with a pull out sofa. Each suite has it’s own VCR so bring your own movies. Room assignments will be worked on during the bus trip.

* Expenses are a little higher this year. Gas Prices increased our Bus cost. We also changed our Hotel from 2004. The hotel is slightly higher in price and the catered meal will also cost a little more. Please keep in mind the total fee includes the Footlocker Entry Fee as well.

* This years trip will sell out. I will post all the names of the students that sign up online, so that they are aware of the amount of spots remaining.

* We will all meet at Norwell High School @ 7:45 on Friday Nov. 23rd. We will be taking 2 luxury busses. The busses are equipped with VCR’S so please bring appropriate movies.

* We will stop in Connecticut for Lunch around 11:00 am. It will most likely be a Burger King.

* On the bus I will set up roommate lists. The hotel has assigned rooms already but we will juggle the rooms around so everyone is happy with their roommate setup. The rooms are like little apartments, equipped with kitchen , living room, and a bedroom. Apullout sofa and roll-away beds. The rooms also have VCR’S in them.

* The bus will drop a few coaches off @ the Hotel around 1 p.m. The coaches will setup all the rooms and make sure the catered meal is ready. The bus will then send the athletes directly to Van Cortlandt Park to view the race course.
PLEASE BE DRESSED TO RUN WHEN YOU LEAVE NORWELL H.S.

* The bus will arrive back at the Hotel around 3 p.m. Room keys will be distributed. All athletes will have 1 hr to relax or shower prior to diner at 4 pm. Athletes should be pretty much ready to leave for NYC directly from dinner.

* When everyone is seated on the bus we will then go over the rules and regulations about the city and the rest of the evening. We will go directly to Time Square, and then we will finish at Rockefeller Center. We will board back on the bus @ 10:30 pm. The bus will then proceed back to Residence Inn Hotel.

* All athletes are due back in their rooms by 12 midnight.

* Wake up time and packing is @ 6:15am, Room check @ 6:45. Each room will be evaluated prior to check out.

* A free breakfast will be served at 7:00 am

* Bus will Depart for Van Cortlandt park @ 8:00 am.

* I will pick up a giant packet of numbers at Van Cortlandt Park and I will then distribute them to the appropriate coaches. Bring souvenir money !! They have plenty of shirts, hats, and other Footlocker stuff for sale.

* For race schedule see the itinerary.

*We will depart for Norwell immediately after the completion of the last race. After a 20 minute bus ride we will stop at Burger King / Tcby / Boston Chicken Type place for lunch.

* When we are about an 1 hr from Norwell we will stop and athletes can call their parents to arrange pick up. Arrival time is usually between 7-8 pm.

* Bring enough money for 2 burger king stops and souvenirs.

* Be dressed to run when we leave Norwell High School.

* Runners are only allowed to race in one race. Some people actually jumped in 2 separate races last years.

* You must sleep in your assigned rooms.

* Bring movies for the rooms and bus.

* Breakfast is free at the Hotel.

* Be respectful of the Hotel and other Hotel guests.

* The phones and pay movies at the hotel will be turned off.

* Students may bring cell phones if they have them.

* We will be traveling with about 100 people.

* ABSOLUTLEY NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL PERMITTED ON THE TRIP.

* If Student are suspected of using alcohol or drugs, coaches have the right to search and seize any and all substances.

* MIAA prohibits any teams from wearing school uniforms.

* It is important that all athletes give an honest effort when competing. You may stay up late and have fun, but please don’t make a mockery of this event by jogging.
